Just found out that I have not been updating my blog for ages. Thought I should spare some time on my blog instead of some time-wasting movies or dramas.
I have recently read a book which is called The Alchemist. This book was written by a Brazillian author called Paulo Coelho and this is one of his best selling books in the world. A close friend of mine recommended this book to me and in no time, I was totally hooked up with this book. It is a book that told a story of a shepherd boy who travelled across the desert to pursue his personal legend and fullfill his dream.
There are a few phrases that really motivate me after reading the book. "To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation", "And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
Nothing is possible, if you wish it with all your heart-the message conveyed by the author is inspiring. I would recommend this book to anyone and I probably will read the book again in near future.

Busy busy
I started my first run in Auckland city hospital and my first run is surgery. I was really busy last week till I do not have the time for blogging. Basically, I just ran around the ward not knowing anything with absolutely no idea what's been going on. I don't really know what's the registrar was saying during ward round and I was afraid to ask the house officer because they were super busy as well last week

Auckland
I have came to auckland for about two weeks already. I can still remember vividly the first day I came here, I was so exhausted because the plane took me about 11 hours and I hardly slept in the plane. My whole body ached like mad. When I reached auckland I was so happy because the weather was super cold.Even though now is still summer, the wind is so strong especially at night,I always feel like sore throst because it is super dry here, I can't imagine how winter will be like. When I reached my hall of residence(hostel), I was shocked when I saw the bedroom size, it was so tiny and it is definitely more cacat than the one I saw online before I came. Haha. Luckily I met a lot of nice people here and we always hang out together. All of us staying at the same floor and justin just stayin beside my room. So,our floor is the noisiet because we always visit each other room. So far, I have been visiting a lot of places in Auckland including zoo(as u can see in the pic),musuem, sailing and a lot more. Since tomorrow is weekand, so I m going to waiheke island. The orientation was fun and next week I am gonna start my class already,I am so dead man, forgot almost everything about medicine. The accent here is quite weird and sometimes I am super blur dunno wat those ang mo trying to say. Oh ya, the hospital here is damn cool it is like a hotel, will take some pic when i have the chance. The Uni here is very big and nice. And I am trying to learn some new maori words.
About the food here,I can only describe it in one word, that is 'sucks'. I miss malaysia food so much and miss chinese new year as well. I feel like eating 'bak kua'.In New Zealand nobody is celebrating chinese new year and it is kinda quiet here. I cant even find a mandarin orange here and the chinese food here sucks big time. Oh ya, another thing I miss bout malaysia is the shopping centre. Here the shopping places super cacat. And i miss my malaysia shopping buddies, kooi xiu jin where r u?haha. I want to go sing k with my sing k buddies also.Sadnya...All my friends here do not know chinese songs except sze ying, haha.
I will try to capture the hostel food and my room pic next time for u guys to see.

New Year new year
Another year has passed and I am still the good old wendy. I have another 2 hours before I bid year 2007 farewell. Before that, let me recall what 'great things' I have done for this year. Erm...first, I managed to pass my sem 5, you wouldn't know how stress I was at that time. Secondly, I got a boy friend finally after all these years of searching. The next 'big' event was I went backpacking to japan and bangkok, such a big thing for a small girl like me. To come to think of it, I played hard for the past 6 months. Shopping, eating, lazing around, movies, visiting some new places...u name it I got it. Now it is the time for me to get back on my feet.
So, I decide to write down a new year resolution for 2008.
1. Be hardworking in New Zealand and have to study hard
2. Eat less and exercise more
3. Learn how to cook
4. Do not spend excessively in new zealand

Life in Kedah
After a long holiday for about 5 months, I am still stuck here in Kedah doing nothing productive. Luckily, justin came here to pay me a visit. So, I have been bringing him around Kedah these few days. And that is one of the reason why there isn't any new post for almost a week. To be honest, Kedah is quite a boring place. Okay, to be Honest, Kedah is a very very boring place(just ask justin, he will know better). Basically, we just eat, sleep, and watch dvd at home.
However, if u were to throw me to Auckland now, there are definitely a few things that i will miss about Kedah. Firstly, the pirated dvd. It is unbelievably cheap-RM5 each(can you believe it?), you can even change it if it is not clear. My cousin will spend at least RM 100 whenever he comes to visit Kedah(mind you, he has the most impressive collection of pirated dvd I have ever seen).
Secondly, the food is very cheap too. Being a Kedahan, I definitely think that Kedah street food is better than KL. In KL one bowl of prawn noodle will cost u about 4 bucks whereas in Kedah, the noodle is twice as delicious at half the price. And there is a restaurant which we refer to as Lily(I do not even know the real name altho I have been there for more than 30 times), the seafood there is super delicious and cheap.
